The Senior Business Operations Manager, Engineering Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this role will provide operational support to six CIC Engineering Vice Presidents in a wide array of administrative, logistical, and project-related areas. The team is in rapid-growth mode and the right person has the ability to take initiative, is professional, quick, creative, and motivated. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys organizing and optimizing processes and tools in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinate presentation development and internal communications
- Build and maintain team knowledge base(s) to ensure information is relevant and up-to-date
- Assist senior leadership in driving consistent practices and operational excellence
- Coordinate events and meetings with external contacts and 3rd party vendors
- Identify and execute operational improvements to increase efficiency and responsiveness across the organization through process improvement, project planning and stakeholder management
- Coordinate their organization-wide meetings and activities for users across multiple time zones, including All Hands meetings, social activities, etc.
- Plan key events including team offsites and conferences
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with internal partners and employees
- Manage ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as needed
- Strictly maintain confidential and sensitive information
What you’ll bring to the role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented self-starter with prioritization, organization and demonstrated process improvement skills
- Track record of project milestone progress and communicating status to stakeholders
- Collaborative, creative, and out-of-the-box thinker
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new things
- Comfortable with change and able to navigate a fast-paced, remote environment
- Ability to create partnerships with and influence others
- Exceptional organization with a focus on execution
And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following!
- Skilled in presentation design, Google Slides preferred
- Familiarity with Google Sheets
- Familiarity with Confluence or similar internal wiki
- Familiarity with Canva and/ or video editing software
- Results driven with the ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience with internal communications, event planning, or other complimentary fields
- Previous experience working in a remote/distributed environment

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$120,000—$180,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $134,000—$202,000 USDWhat you can look forward to as an Full-Time Okta employee!
