About the role

The role of Senior Buyer develops and sets the strategic vision for their category to serve our goals, succeed at meeting financial targets, and improve customer satisfaction. You are expected to work with partners (Planning, Product, Creative, Marketing, Operations, Site Merchandising…) to lead strategy execution. You will identify near and long term opportunities and risks and work with the team to develop and implement replacement and growth strategies. Develop seasonal strategies and work with vendor partners, Licensing, and Marketing to build in season product assortments.

About you

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
  • 8+ years of buying experience in an eCommerce business
  • You have experience buying for/within: Books, collectibles and/or figurines
  • Are excited to manage a team!
  • You prioritize deciphering outcomes and you use data to develop and implement strategic shifts
  • You're naturally curious and have a business owner mindset, looking wholistically at owned categories & the impact that decisions have on larger ecom business
  • Collaboratively work and an eagerness to be involved in many aspects of a growing company
  • Genuine interest/experience with anime and pop culture!
  • You are able to travel 25% of the time for team, market, & vendor meetings
A day in the life of our Senior Buyer, Hard Goods
  • Improve high-level strategic vision for their business through market analysis, identifying customer and financial opportunities, and navigation of organizational roadblocks
  • Anticipate the challenge of managing a multi-category high-growth business, each with different goals, success metrics and expected main deliverables
  • Cultivate successful collaboration with internal and external partners that support near and long-term goals
  • Identify and lead onboarding of new strategic partners/brands and exit vendors who are no longer aligned with departmental strategies
  • Analyze our performance and present strategic next steps to the leadership team
  • Lead a direct team and provide mentorship to team members, prioritizing coaching, and clear/useful feedback
  • Hold team accountable to delivering product excellence, with a price/value relationship and customer first attitude
  • Participate in task forces to support main priorities/available
  • Support eCommerce leadership team with projects and deliverables
  • Attend market meetings, trade shows or other vendor engagements
  • Manage achievements and deadlines for multiple simultaneous projects, while keeping main partners up to date with progress and decisions
  • Lead a dedicated team of eCommerce professionals providing mentorship, direction and guidance
  • Maintain positive open lines of communication with partners to inform and build partnerships

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
