      • Clean and appropriate topology
      • Accurate scale, orientation and transforms
      • Consideration of optimisation requirements for downstream use
      • Consistent file structuring and naming conventions
    • Create high-quality 3D assets from scratch, including both hard-surface and soft-surface elements, accurately interpreting references, design intent and real-world detail.
    • Create assets with a strong focus on photorealism, ensuring modelling detail, surface quality and material response are all accurately reflect real-world references.
    • Apply UV mapping and create / assign materials and shaders in line with studio standards.
    • Prepare assets in a way that supports efficient downstream use within real-time environments.
    • Maintain quality, consistency and brand custodianship across all delivered assets.
  • Real-Time Asset Setup & Layout
    • Prepare and integrate assets into real-time engines, including Unreal Engine, as part of the production process.
    • Support asset import, setup and validation, ensuring assets are correctly structured and ready for use.
    • Set up and adapt materials and material instances to meet project and brand requirements.
    • Apply an understanding of modern real-time lighting workflows and their impact on asset and material behaviour.
    • Work with modular or node-based material systems (experience or willingness to learn).
    • Support asset layout and scene organisation where required.
    • Identify and troubleshoot asset, material or setup issues within real-time environments.
    • Collaborate with Project Leads and other disciplines to ensure assets meet creative and technical expectations.
  • Collaboration & Studio Contribution
    • Work with Project Leads to deliver assets on time and to specification, supporting daily and weekly milestones.
    • Collaborate closely with global teams, maintaining clear and professional communication.
    • Contribute to the development and refinement of studio workflows, tools and best practices.
    • Support and mentor junior team members as the department grows.
    • Share knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of the CG-AI Studio.
    • Bring a proactive, team-focused and solutions-oriented mindset.
What you need to be great in this role:

  • Proven experience in a similar CGI / 3D asset or data-modelling role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with 3ds Max and/or Maya.
  • Solid understanding of 3D asset creation and preparation workflows, including UVs, materials, optimisation awareness and file structuring.
  • Practical experience working with assets in real-time engines (Unreal Engine experience is highly desirable).
  • Understanding of real-time rendering considerations.
  • Experience with CAD data preparation (e.g. IGES / NURBS) is beneficial.
  • Comfortable working alongside technical or automated workflows, with the ability to understand and follow scripted or procedural processes where required.
  • Experience working with Perforce or similar version control systems.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
  • Automotive or high-fidelity product visualisation experience.
  • Experience working with large or complex data sets.
  • Knowledge of tools such as PIXYZ, Rhino, Deltagen, Unreal Engine, VRay
  • Experience with environment or scene-based asset creation.
  • Basic scripting experience within DCC or real-time environments (e.g. Blueprints, Python, MEL, MaxScript).
