Role: Senior Channel Manager
Location: London, England, United Kingdom (Hybrid)
About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Channel Manager to work with one of the world’s largest drinks companies on their premium and luxury alcohol brands. Our client is consistently recognised as a marketing leader for the innovative work they do including many digital firsts, PR stunts and celebrity ambassadors. We are looking for a developing social all-rounder who is full of talent and ambition, and who can match our clients’ passion for industry-leading marketing. At the company, we build agency teams to work in-house with brands. This role will be sitting within the in-house social and content team we’ve created, working with a range of global-level client teams. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of brands - from well-known category leaders to disruptive newcomers - across a range of audiences and areas of culture.
What you will be doing:- Managing all inbound comments with appropriate responses and escalations
- Community management to foster relationships and advocacy within social audiences
- Strategically proactively CM across wider network of trending and relevant content
- Posting and scheduling all content
- Moderating Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram etc… via Sprinklr and Trust Pilot.
- Helping to plan the monthly content calendars
- Helping to develop copy to support our visual content
- Participating in creative brainstorms alongside the Social Media Manager, Art Director and Social Strategist
- Sourcing and collating relevant UGC content to map out into monthly calendars
- Having a great understanding of social channels and trends
- Staying up to date with updates and changes across the social platforms and communicating these to team members
- Support SMM in keeping the content and cultural calendar up to date
- Using tools (such as Sprinklr, Dragonfly AI, Pencil and GWI) and platform insights to extract data; conduct advanced data analysis to derive actionable insights and recommendations, driving continuous improvement – trends and patterns.
- Have a strong knowledge of industry benchmarks for reach, engagement, sentiment etc
- Regular social listening to look for opportunities to respond to and lead conversations
- Working directly with clients to help the team deliver reporting, share ideas, take feedback and discuss updates
- Building relationships with your clients by part taking in regular meetings and delivering exceptional insight.
- Liaising and working with paid media and C&E agencies to ensure content is optimised and considered across all channels
- Supporting the social media manager and social strategist with campaign planning
- Weekly performance optimisations and actionable recommendation across organic and paid socials.
- Support SMM with quarterly PCAs – collate data across all analytics platforms to help form a clear and conclusive story
- Be proactive in seeking out and optimising content in alignment with channel updates and trends (visuals, audios, memes, pages, celebs)
- Identify and leverage reactive content recommendations; timely and actionable approach
- Mentor other CMs providing guidance and development opportunities within CMing field.
- Develop and implement crisis management plans for social media, leading the team through high-stakes situations with effective comms strategies.
- Make critical decisions, with support and guidance of SMM, regarding brand reputation management and escalation protocols.
- Partner with SMM and Strategist to pilot new platforms and creative formats.
- Oversee the integration and optimisation of organic to paid asset recommendations.
- You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues
- Someone who loves social media and wants to grow within this field as part of their career
- Has established a strong track record in social media and is looking for their next step up
- Is comfortable working in busy environments with many projects on the go at any time
- Must have flawless written English including punctuation and spelling
- Someone who loves the pace of digital change and innovation
- Someone who keeps abreast of pop culture, loves a meme, and keeps on top of internet trends
- Follows influencers across a range of passion points and platforms
- Good understanding of which content, formats and platforms drive which outcomes
- Good understanding of people’s behaviour on social media across different platforms
- Must be highly analytical with a ‘measure and optimise’ approach to content creation
- Well organised with good time management, and is comfortable working on a range of tasks and projects at once
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ideally someone who has an interest in spirits and alcohol trends
- Experience with social listening and social management tools
- Someone who is motivated to work hard and learn from the best
