The Senior Content Author (SCA) is responsible for designing components and providing support to web applications. The SCA is able to work independently, assuming ownership for the design and authoring of simple and complex web sites. The SCA should also be able to provide estimates for their tasks and assume ownership for these estimates. The SCA works with web applications and a variety of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, and is comfortable with content management systems.

You will:

 

  • Building web applications that follow the latest web standards and conforms with leading-edge front-end technologies, using the components implemented by the Development team
  • Works closely with Creative, Business, Technology and QA teams to ensure the technology will be functional and meet performance targets on all web platforms (mobile, desktop)
  • May help oversee and test the development of components
  • Implements user and business requirements which are composed of multiple authoring activities
  • Maintains up-to-date and complete documentation on projects as dictated by the capability’s guidelines and best practices
  • Debugs or troubleshoots complex issues in existing web applications
  • Proactively provide feedback on policies and procedures when an opportunity for improvement exists

 

You have:

  • English Proficiency (B2+ reading, writing, and conversation)

  • At least 3-4 years of experience working with content management systems (AEM, Sitecore, TeamSite)
  • Excellent understanding of content management systems and its components/templates
  • Knowledge of Cross-browser and Responsive development
  • Knowledge of recent development practices (Mobile First, MVC, Object Oriented development)
  • Basic work experience on Front-End technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Basic knowledge of design patterns (e.g., model-view-controller, observer, object oriented, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of pre-processed CSS styling (SASS, LESS)
  • Fluency with data transfer formats and protocols popular in web applications (eg. JSON, XML, HTTP)
  • Capable of building proof of concept prototypes
  • Capable of integrating a web solution based on a Content Management System
  • Capable of troubleshooting, debugging, and doing root cause analysis of web applications issues

 

You may have:

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience in the web development business
  • Experience in Digital Agencies projects, Web development projects, SCRUM/Agile software projects.
  • Experience with popular JavaScript frameworks and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Work experience configuring, using, and troubleshooting tools such as process automation & scripting (e.g. Webpack or Gulp) and pre-process tools (e.g. SASS, LESS).
