Senior Contracts Manager

Sumo Logic is looking for a highly motivated Senior Contracts Manager to join its Legal team and report to our Director of Legal Affairs. This role focuses on negotiating and closing a variety of commercial transactions, including our customer and partner arrangements, and designing and implementing new commercial legal processes as we scale our business.

This is a remote role and we are looking to hire in the Eastern US time zone.

Responsibilities:

  •  Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial transactions, including SaaS customer agreements,distribution/reseller agreements, professional services agreements, NDAs, DPAs, BAAs, vendoragreements, and other related agreements.
  •  Assist with developing and maintaining contracts-related processes and procedures to scale with company’sgrowth, such as developing and maintaining playbook, standard forms, etc.
  •  Partner with sales, sales operations, finance, security, customer success, and other functions to ensureefficient and effective legal support for commercial transactions.
  • Assist with other legal team initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8-12 years of hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating software license and SaaSagreements.
  • Experience in-house at a technology company is a MUST
  • Experience relating to cloud/SaaS specific issues, privacy, security strongly preferred.

  • Excellent negotiator, able to effectively navigate issues externally and internally, including acrossdepartments, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to successfully manage competing priorities and work independently on a wide range of issues andprojects, while delivering quality work.
  • Team player with strong business acumen and attention to detail and who recognizes that this role is aboutdoing as well as creating a scalable foundation.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, who excels in a fast-paced, time pressured and demanding environment. Mustbe flexible.
  •  Experience with contract management systems a plus.

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary for this position is $135,000-$160,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.
