We’re looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to help us with our consolidation and reporting function. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, this position is responsible for full-cycle accounting, month-end close processes, financial reporting, and technical accounting activities with the finance team, the business, and external service providers.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Responsible for effective, efficient and timely month-end close process, including maintenance of the general ledger, preparation and review of variance analysis and other relevant reporting and insights
  • Complete full-cycle accounting, including preparing consolidation processes, journal entries, reconciliations, statements, analysis and schedules
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in a complex, multi-currency environment under US GAAP and IFRS
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting working papers and supporting schedules 
  • Assist with interim and year-end audits of financial statements of the group 
  • Research technical accounting positions and prepare memos, analyzing and making recommendations for changes or improvements
  • Oversee work of external accountants in preparation of legal entity financial statements and assist with statutory audits
  • Key member of the treasury function; facilitate weekly wire runs, day to day banking administrative duties, annually KYC compliance filings
  • Prepare other external reporting tasks including cap tables, and investor reporting
  • Support the Finance team with strategic initiatives such as M&A activities, and other special projects as required
  • Assist with cross-functional initiatives and related financial processes
  • Act as a key member of the team in development, implementation, standardization, documentation and improvement of processes
  • Provide assistance with other special projects as required
  • Guide and mentor junior staff members

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • CPA Designation
  • Some practical experience progressive accounting experience, including experience as an auditor for a public accounting firm
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects to successful completion
  • Proficient knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS with the ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues

Canada Pay Range For This Role$78,400—$109,800 CAD
