We’re looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to modernize and build a best-in-class modern data platform at Betsson Group. You’ll develop data pipelines, create data models, maintain and enhance the data platform and products, to deliver high-performing services used by millions of players.  

This is an opportunity to work with bleeding edge technology, build world-class products and be part of a data mesh programme enabling other data teams, data scientists and AI engineers.  

As an engineer, your focus will be on developing and maintaining, modular and reusable data products from ingestion to presentation layers, explore new technologies and find solutions to enhance our products.  

You’ll participate on design discussions, troubleshoot complex problems, and contribute directly to our codebase.   

You’ll also play a key part in building a collaborative, high-performing team culture. Whether reviewing code, or supporting other engineers and tech lead. 

• Proven experience developing data pipelines in AWS and/or into SnowFlake 
• Strong technical background in improving performance of data pipelines and Databases
• Experience building Pipelines for AI and Machine Learning (Feature Store) 
• Experience with data warehousing modelling, preferably Data Vault 2.0 and semantic layer 
• Experience with Open Tables (Apache Iceberg) and with Orchestration (Airflow)

Our Tech Stack: Our systems are built mostly in python, using AWS Services, like SageMaker, Bedrock, EMR, MKS, orchestrated with Airflow and Glue. We rely on Kafka for messaging and events, and use a mix S3, Apache Iceberg and Snowflake for data storage and processing.
