As a Senior Data Engineer (w/m/d), you will be responsible for analyzing, integrating and managing enterprise data to develop and implement a sound data strategy. This role will form the foundation for AI initiatives and use cases within the organization. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team and be actively involved in hands-on implementation to ensure our data infrastructure is robust, secure and privacy compliant.THE WORK YOU WILL DO

• Analyze and integrate company data from various sources.
• Develop and implement a robust data strategy.
• Hands-on implementation and optimization of ETL processes to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Working with interdisciplinary teams to support AI initiatives and use cases.
• Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR) and internal policies.
• Actively write and manage data pipelines and databases to ensure efficient data flows
• Utilizing Big Data technologies and tools to process large amounts of data.

• Several years of experience in a similar role as a data engineer or data architect.
• Sound knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), ETL processes and data modeling.
• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java or Scala.
• Familiarity with data protection regulations and legal frameworks (especially GDPR).
• Strong problem solving skills and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex data concepts to various stakeholders.
