Senior DevOps Engineer
The purpose of this role is to play a key role in the success of the DevOps projects and workstreams that support a wide range of in-house and external client systems. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and proactive team player, a confident communicator that's equally comfortable in front of clients and our internal colleagues. Vitally you will have a passion for technology, innovation, and ever-evolving software design and development principles.
We’re looking for someone with extensive experience in building, operating, and maintaining Linux/Windows infrastructure, with a high degree of automation.
You will:
- Provide technical tools, test environments, processes, and development support to the client team
- Build and operate client production environments
- Participate in our evolution toward infrastructure as code
- Track usage and capacity plan for hardware and software on an annual basis
- Mentor junior team members in the construction of delivery systems using configuration management and horizontally scalable architectures
- Support incident response for developer tools systems
- Support incident response for client production systems
- Be able to work flexibly including outside of normal business hours
You have:
- 5+ years of web platform administration or operational support experience
- Proven experience with Amazon Web Services cloud service
- Detailed experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Cloudfront or API Gateway, or similar services on other platforms
- Wide experience managing and administering Linux and Windows systems
- Expertise in Unix shell scripting (Bash)
- Experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Git)
- Solid knowledge of Common Internet Protocols [SMTP, HTTP / HTTPS, SSH, SMTP]
- Experience using Apache WWW and/or NGINX server and Tomcat
- Proficiency in Puppet/Ansible or other configuration management
- Proficiency in React, Vue.js, Gulp, Node, .Net, Java/Spring/Hibernate
- Proficiency in JSON based API’s, OAuth2/OpenID Connect
- Strong knowledge in CMS like Drupal, Jahia, AEM, Sitecore
