About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Director of Integrated Strategy to define and lead transformational projects that improve the integration and value capture across Crunchyroll’s flywheel businesses and support our mission to be the world’s destination of choice for anime. You will develop a deep understanding of the strategy, opportunities, and operational challenges across Crunchyroll’s Games, eCommerce, and Global Commerce businesses, as well as other Sony business segments, and support the articulation of their strategic impact and contributions to Crunchyroll’s short- and long-term positioning and value proposition. You will ensure that these business strategies are clear and consistent - and that key business initiatives are integrated on a roadmap to track our trajectory towards achieving our goals. You will partner with leaders across these businesses on all aspects of their key initiatives, including: business strategy, investment decisioning, roadmap planning, executive presentations, objective and results management, and communications on key updates and overall trajectory.  

You will be a member of the Strategy & Planning leadership team and report to the Head and SVP of Strategy & Planning, as part of Crunchyroll’s COO organization. 

The impact you will have: 

  • Understand Crunchyroll’s company strategy, how it translates to our flywheel and Sony businesses, and how to use those insights to articulate their value proposition to Crunchyroll’s stakeholders in a clear and consistent way 
  • Develop and communicate primers and an integrated roadmap of key initiatives across our flywheel and Sony businesses; identify opportunities and manage priority lists to refine primers and roadmap to meet long-term goals 
  • Track progress of integrated roadmap and communicate monthly reports on key initiatives to foster understanding, accountability, and coordination across the company
  • Update and manage Crunchyroll’s membership program, incorporating subscriber benefits across SVOD, Games, eCommerce, and select Global Commerce businesses, as inputs to pricing and value proposition by tier 
  • Create and lead quarterly planning and business reviews by collaborating with multiple leaders across our Games, eCommerce, and Global Commerce businesses, along with Finance, Data & Insights, and other functional teams
  • Organize, and on occasion lead, projects with a broad set of contributors, collecting input from relevant flywheel, Sony, and other functional teams and ensuring alignment on goals, plans, and deliverables     
  • Draft communications and own content development for executive updates on key initiatives across Crunchyroll’s President and COO’s internal and external meetings, offsites, and other speaking engagements 

What we look for: 

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in a similar leadership role; management consulting experience and/or MBA preferred   
  • Strategic planning, product development and marketing, and/or program management skills with track record of achieving quantifiable results 
  • Understanding of media subscription models and DTC principles and methodologies working in dynamic media and entertainment organizations 
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and relationship building skills with senior leadership teams  
  • Proficiency in growth and business strategy formulation, data-driven decision making, and roadmap development

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
