ThousandEyes is also a foundational component of Cisco’s growing Full-Stack Observability (“FSO”) business. 

About The Role

As a Senior Director on the AI Ops Engineering team, you will be responsible for building the next-generation routing engine for the Internet using Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The size, diversity, and richness of our data are simply unmatched. The Internet is changing fast, and we are too. The objective of this confidential product is to adopt a highly novel and ambitious approach for optimizing networks to better serve applications. 

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and inspire a talented team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the development of AIOps solutions for the Network Assurance Domain

  • Drive the strategic vision for AIOps within the Network Assurance domain, aligning technical initiatives with broader business objectives

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, data science, and operations, to define and implement AIOps strategies that enhance network performance

  • Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, identifying and incorporating emerging AIOps trends to continuously improve network monitoring, automation, and incident resolution

  • Provide oversight and direction in the development of AIOps-driven products, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions that meet customer needs

  • Drive operational excellence in AIOps processes, including incident detection, root cause analysis, and automated response, with a focus on enhancing the overall efficiency of Network Assurance

  • Leverage synergies with Cisco's broader ecosystem, collaborating with counterparts to integrate AIOps capabilities seamlessly into the broader networking solutions portfolio

  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the AIOps engineering team

Qualifications
  • You possess a deep understanding of the intricacies inherent in machine learning systems

  • Proficient in crafting machine learning models, this candidate's expertise spans neural networks, decision trees, and other methodologies, translating conceptual ideas into actual solutions

  • Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams, with a track record of success in developing and delivering AIOps solutions

  • Strong technical background with expertise in AIOps, network assurance, ML frameworks, and related technologies

  • Proven ability to think strategically and align technical initiatives with business objectives

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and functions

  • A forward-thinking and innovative mindset, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in AIOps

  • Experience in driving operational excellence in AIOps processes, incident detection, and automated response

  • A commitment to delivering AIOps solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations for network reliability and performance.

  • Proven software engineering management experience leading multiple teams

US – COMPENSATION RANGE 

261000 USD - 384400 USD

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
