Senior Director, Product

The Senior Director of Product will lead product management teams responsible for analyzing, investigating, identifying, and building solutions for the entire Lyft experience. We’re looking for a seasoned, customer-obsessed product leader to drive the evolution of the Lyft experience as we relentlessly pursue our mission to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation.
Responsibilities:- Build a transformative long term strategic product and technology vision for Lyft
- Drive close cross-functional collaboration to deliver product development excellence—product management best practices, including the highest level of product hygiene
- Translate Lyft’s vision and strategy into a product roadmap that drives our differentiated experience forward
- Trusted partner and senior product advisor to Lyft’s Executive Leadership Team
- Define, develop and execute a product roadmap via close collaboration with senior leadership, Business Operations, Data Science, Analytics, Design and Engineering
- Understand the competitive landscape and both general/ industry trends to inform product strategies + roadmaps
- Translate user needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis
- Guide and interface closely with data analysts and engineering teams to define scope, review, and refine technical capabilities, prioritize projects for release, and define new opportunities
- Manage, inspire and develop a team of high caliber product managers, providing them with development, mentorship, and and coaching to help them achieve theirs and Lyft's goals
- At least 12 years in product management or relevant experience in tech-related field
- Strong executive leadership skills
- Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, cultivator of collaboratively working relationships with teams across an organization
- Excels at communicating and sharing insights to inspire others and to obtain strategic buy-in to their vision
- Track record of scaling early deployments in order to build a robust product that can work at scale
- Forward-thinking, analytical and problem-solving mindset, drawn to building off of ambiguous and unsolved problems and “making it happen”
- Driven by a deep commitment to providing the highest level of customer experience.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client management skills across a diverse group of stakeholders
- Experience partnering with Business Operations, Finance, Business Leaders and Regional GMs to manage impact to profitability and other business metrics
- Ability to remain flexible and thrive in ambiguity
- Experience leading distributed teams across multiple geographies with varied cultures and working styles
- Excellent judgment and thoughtfulness about the dynamics of an ever evolving product landscape; considers entire life cycle of deployment in order to ensure a delightful customer experience
- Positive attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves and dig deep to achieve goals
- Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrated experience managing and growing a high performing team of product managers while providing development, mentorship, and excitement to exceed team and department goals
- Prior experience with or strong understanding of marketplace dynamics is a plus

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the San Francisco office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
The expected range of base pay for this position in the San Francisco Bay area is $292,500 - $325,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
