About the Role:

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Experience: 6 - 10 years 

Job Level: L5 

Reporting to: Engineering Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

As a senior team member, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional projects through the entire software development lifecycle, providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members, and solving complex and impactful problems for the company.

What you’ll do: 
  • Software Design: Design, implement, test, release, and maintain embedded software that can easily be deployed on a wide range of hardware, operating systems, and vehicle architectures.
  • Code development:  Writing high-quality and production-ready code. Adhering to and advocating clean-coding standards. Improving the code to deployment processes to optimize developer productivity.
  • Team Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members through documentation and code reviews, knowledge sharing, being a role model, and improving their technical skills.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with other engineering teams, delivery managers and solution architects to prioritize, estimate and fulfill the solutions deliveries to customers. Create and contribute to roadmaps, project plans, requirements documents, design documents, test plans, and other documentation
  • Problem Solving: Drive through ambiguity by clearly defining delivery milestones, timelines and guide the team towards optimal ways of delivering the solutions.
What you should know:
  • 6 - 10 years of experience  in developing production-quality embedded software
  • Proficient in embedded C programming on resource constrained systems
  • Experience developing for Embedded RTOS, Linux/POSIX, and/or Android systems
  • Experience with IoT technologies and concepts (MQTT, HTTPS, security, OTA software updates, telemetry, etc.)
  • Experience working with modern software development methodologies and tools (Agile, git, unit testing, static analysis, code review, CI, MISRA C/C++, etc.)
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Great team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience mentoring team members, performing documentation and code reviews, and advocating for development best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with C++ and Python
  • Familiar with automotive networking and protocols (CAN, Ethernet, UDS, SOME/IP, etc.)
  • Experience interfacing with customers and external stakeholders
  • Experience with the following collaboration and development tools: Bazel, PC-Lint, Git, JIRA, Confluence, Google Test)
