The Opportunity: The Senior Enterprise Renewals Manager will lead the development and execution of strategies to attain successful customer renewals and maximize customer usage for Okta’s largest and most complex customer relationships. They will be responsible for achieving assigned goals for renewal rate, growth, and term length. They will work in tight partnership with Sales and Customer Success to execute the renewals strategy. The key to success in this role is the ability to be incredibly strategic with the Sales and Customer Success teams to help in identifying challenges to successful renewals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Portfolio Management: Lead the end-to-end renewal lifecycle for Okta’s most complex enterprise accounts, managing a quarterly pipeline of 20–25 renewals totaling $10M+ in ARR while ensuring continuous service and revenue growth.
- Commercial Negotiation & Strategy: Expertly command pricing strategies and contract negotiations, collaborating with Legal and Finance to secure long-term, favorable agreements that articulate the value of the Okta ecosystem.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Customer Success and Sales teams to mitigate churn risks, identify upsell/expansion opportunities, and ensure a unified "One Okta" approach to account health.
- Executive Influence & Forecasting: Maintain high-level relationships with customer executives and provide internal leadership with accurate Salesforce/Gainsight forecasting, visibility into deal risks, and actionable renewal data.
- Operational Leadership: Drive continuous improvement through team coaching, deal strategy mentorship for the APJ region, and taking initiative on special projects to optimize team performance.
Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strategic Deal Management: 5–7 years of experience in Renewals, Sales, or Customer Success, with a proven track record of independently negotiating and closing complex $1M+ named account agreements.
- Executive Presence: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among C-suite leadership both internally and externally.
- Operational Excellence: Highly organized and detail-oriented with a mastery of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to prioritize high-volume workloads and meet rigorous daily deadlines.
- Resilience & Leadership: Demonstrated ability to remain professional and positive under intense, high-pressure situations while proactively coaching and mentoring team members.
- Results-Oriented Mindset: A self-motivated and tenacious approach to account management, characterized by high activity levels and a "tactful closer" mentality built on integrity.
