That’s where OVO Drive comes in, it's our dedicated electric vehicle business. We already provide hardware installations, home & public charging, but we want so much more, we want to build a single app experience that covers everything an EV driver could need this role will play a huge part in that.

We work like a start up- using our entrepreneurial, OVO Way spirit to drive us forward. And we’ll be flexible about how we do it - trying new things, growing the ones that work and learning new, green skills as we go. 

 

This role in a nutshell:

Sitting in the OVO Drive business this role will manage the EV charger installation proposition from end to end. This includes modelling the financials, managing growth, working with the marketing teams to drive top of funnel traffic and hand in hand with the product and tech teams to improve in funnel conversions, along with management and ownership of the up front technical survey of the home installation.  The only element of the journey this role does not have ownership of is the home installation and the on site engineers.

 

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Build and maintain the EV Charger budget. 
  • Be responsible for the commercial performance of the EV Charger business line.
  • Work with the product marketing team to deliver the end to end go to market strategy.
  • Own the business and customer economics, creating attractive propositions that drive significant growth in line with forecasts.
  • Own [in partnership with the finance business partner] the weekly/monthly reporting, including P&L performance vs budget and a detailed understanding of unit economics.
  • Lead the technical design team to ensure an effective and efficient process for triaging customer surveys. 
  • Work extremely closely with the field services team to ensure the installation economics and installation CSAT are in line with business expectations, making adjustments where necessary. 
  • Work closely with the product and tech teams to create the customer journeys required to drive scale and profitability.
  • Take responsibility for managing and developing relationships with existing and new partners in the electric vehicle space, particularly EVSEs.
  • Evaluate and own risks, challenges and opportunities, making recommendations on future strategy.
  • Engage with the policy and public affairs team, staying abreast of relevant policy consultations and decisions that help us adapt to the environment in which we operate.
  • Work with Kaluza Flex colleagues on new technological advancements and customer experience improvements to the EV charger proposition.
  • Represent OVO at external industry events to help build it’s profile and reputation as a tech leader in this space.

 

You’ll be a successful EV Charging Lead here at OVO if you…

  • Experience in a startup, fast paced and tech based environment.
  • Experience of building business cases, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Having worked with product teams to build great digital customer journeys.
  • A deep knowledge of the energy, and electric vehicle sectors is preferred.
  • Have previously worked within a high growth environment.
  • Have experience of home installations, EV charger installations would be preferable, but having sold and installed hardware in to customers homes would be an advantage.
  • Experience developing commercial partnerships across a broad range of industries, including building models for potential partnerships, negotiating contracts, and developing relationships over time.
  • A track record of developing partnerships that include both commercial and marketing considerations.
  • Experience working with product development and technology teams is preferred.
  • Ideally have a sound technical knowledge of both hardware and software solutions relevant to electric vehicles.
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to engage audiences at senior exec and C suite level.
  • Effective networking skills.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to see the bigger picture and deliver at pace.
  • Able to operate at a high level independently.
  • Skilled at writing with an ability to explain complex topics and issues in a way that is accessible to a wide range of audiences. 
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to plans and able to respond confidently and positively to changing scenarios.

We’ll pay you between £59,690 - £78,790, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
