We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Finance Team. Reporting directly into our Senior Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with and gain exposure to a broad range of stakeholders across the business from day one. This is a role which is wide in scope, covering everything from periodic reporting to budgeting, business partnering to project work with a primary focus on the operations of the business.
What you will be doing:
As the Senior Finance Analyst for Operations, you will be the trusted business partner for our Logistics team and provide support to the wider finance & operations teams on a regular basis. The key focus is on creating value through accurate, timely and reliable reporting, innovative insights and strong collaborative partnerships.
You will:
- Work directly with a diverse range of teams & stakeholders (senior/junior, technical/non-technical, financial/non-financial), committing to learning and understanding how their business area operates in order to effectively partner them to drive value.
- Take ownership of of weekly performance reporting & insights for the UK Management Board with a focus on actionable insights,analysis & commentary
- Supporting the Month End accounting process, ensuring a high level of accuracy in our management reporting and helping stakeholders understand their performance through data.
- Lead elements of the quarterly budget submissions, guiding/challenging stakeholders in building out their assumptions.
- Optimising how we use data in our ways of working, automating processes where possible and building for the future to maximise time spent adding real value.
- Supporting on the production and review of business cases/new projects, helping to prioritise initiatives that prioritise strong returns and customer benefits.
- Identifying risks and opportunities to the business, communicating these to the wider team with consideration of the potential implications and actions we could take.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required.
What we’re looking for:
- 2-4 years of working experience in a Finance role with a strong analytical mindset
- CIMA (or relevant equivalent) complete or in progress (study support available)
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and presentational skills (interest in or experience of SQL is a bonus)
- Someone who embraces challenges, is adaptable and excels in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- A driven, self-starter with good attention to detail, able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- A team player who enjoys working dynamically and collaboratively with others, contributing to an exciting, vibrant and diverse team and culture.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to ask questions and work with senior stakeholders.
