The AKQA Global Corporate Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our global team. The role will support the Head of Financial Reporting, Senior Financial Analyst and Group CFO in respect of all Group reporting requirements as well as management of the HQ Corporate entity.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Collaborate with finance teams to gather data for consolidated financial analysis.
  • Review financial packages in the WPP consolidation system to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and manage the global financial reporting timetable, ensuring timely submissions.
  • Oversee Net Working Capital performance for AKQA on a global scale.
  • Manage global intercompany transactions, ensuring smooth processes and timely resolution of issues.
  • Support the Head of Financial Reporting and CFO in monthly and quarterly financial meetings, including preparation of presentation materials in Keynote and PowerPoint.
  • Assist with the integration of acquisitions, including onboarding and training of finance teams.
  • Develop strong working relationships with business partners across global regions.
  • Ensure compliance with WPP’s internal controls framework in collaboration with the Head of Financial Reporting.
  • Perform comprehensive month-end analysis for the corporate entity, including P&L and balance sheet review, journal entries, and data uploads into WPP’s systems.
  • Lead or participate in ad hoc and continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on streamlining reporting processes.
  • Support other finance-related projects and tasks as needed.

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • Work well under pressure, manage time efficiently to meet tight deadlines: dedicated, analytical and proactive.
  • Background working within the WPP Group (preferred but not required).
  • Strong technology skills including expertise in MS Excel, database applications and various ERP systems.
  • Working towards or completed accounting designation (CIMA, ACA or equivalent preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Solutions driven and self starter.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and to adapt in changing environment
