Ripple is building out its Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function to coordinate, analyze, and balance initiatives across the organization, and to provide its executives with data-driven decision support.

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for partnering with Ripple teams across People, Places and Information Technology to forecast, plan, and deliver key business insights. This highly visible position helps Ripple leaders evaluate and determine the overall strategy for resource investment, headcount planning, and target setting.

As a key business partner across Ripple, the Senior Financial Analyst will play an instrumental role in helping manage our company’s forecasting, planning, and reporting. This is a critical position within the finance organization with direct contribution to highly visible outputs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Establish yourself as the primary FP&A business partner supporting business metrics and budget variance analysis for teams including People Operations, Recruiting and Global Workplace
  • Engage with key stakeholders beyond budgeting and planning to become a true thought partner, driving financial support for decision making
  • Develop and build standardized, automated reporting and analysis to establish a single source of accurate, consistent and up-to-date information for your business partners
  • Conduct ad hoc financial modeling and analysis to provide actionable insights for our business
  • Collaborate with department budget managers, accounting, and other finance partners to expedite the monthly close process, perform budget variance analysis, and communicate results 
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting and financial commentary  for our Executive Team and Board of Directors
  • Leverage relationships across the business to develop and maintain financial projections, including the annual budget, quarterly re-forecasts, and a rolling monthly outlook

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

In this highly cross-functional role, candidates are required to be analytical, highly effective communicators, and display thoughtful business judgment. The ideal candidate will be a financial modeler, with a proven track record employing analysis to influence decision-making. The candidate should be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who is highly team and results-oriented, inquisitive, and enjoys detailed problem solving.

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus but not required
  • 3+ years of relevant progressive experience; problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desirable
  • FP&A experience in a fast-growing network business and/or top investment bank experience also desirable
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential, prior Anaplan or programming experience a plus
  • Excels in a fast-paced, demanding environment; able to manage multiple tasks and juggle several time-sensitive projects, while adapting to changing priorities
  • Able to create and deliver effective presentations to senior leaders with wide-ranging, often non-financial backgrounds
