This role will be an integral part of the Tripadvisor Finance team with a focus on revenue forecasting, financial analysis, and business partnership.

 

Job Location US remote/Needham, MA: Hybrid

This role is a hybrid position that requires 1 days per week in the Needham office

 

What you'll do:

  • Own forecasting and financial analysis for the Tripadvisor Media Advertising, Rentals & Flights revenue lines.
  • Provide regular financial reporting for the operational business leadership team and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the GM, product, and analytics teams for these business units.
  • Provide timely and dependable financial performance updates to GM and Finance Leadership, with insights and comparisons such as vs. Plan, Prior Year and Prior Forecasts.
  • Help automate and optimize both business processes and reporting and analytics as it relates to these revenue lines.
  • Anticipate and communicate risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the broader Tripadvisor Finance and Accounting teams to ensure that the business complies with Tripadvisor’s financial policies, processes, and calendar of deliverables.
  • Be flexible and assist with ad hoc projects as needed.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required
  • 4+ years of experience in FP&A and Accounting roles with increasing responsibility 
  • Prior experience within online/media advertising 
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative skills, with a demonstrated passion for using data to drive decision-making
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence decision-making
  • Extremely organized with the ability to contribute to multiple projects within tight timelines
  • A team player, able to step in and help out other members of the team when needed
  • An inquisitive nature, someone who wants to explore variances and understand the root cause 
  • Understands and can work in the detail but possesses a strong big-picture orientation that can be employed when appropriate. Can effectively combine the two.  
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning and Essbase systems, and/or Workday Financials is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL and/or Tableau is a plus.
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $115,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
