THE ROLE
As a Senior Financial Analyst supporting Product Development and Engineering, you will be the strategic architect behind the financial models that fuel our innovation. You will partner directly with R&D leadership to transform complex P&L data into actionable roadmaps, ensuring our engineering investments align with long-term margin goals. This is a high-visibility role where you will bridge the gap between technical product development and corporate finance, driving the automation of our financial systems to elevate decision-making across the global organization.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Drive Strategic Financial Modeling: Architect and manage end-to-end P&L simulations and business models for the CPBU and ISS organizations, providing leadership with real-time scenarios to optimize Topline performance and operating margins.
- Lead Operational Automation: Revolutionize our reporting ecosystem by leveraging SQL, Snowflake, and AI technologies to automate manual workflows, ensuring our financial processes are scalable and integrated across multiple platforms.
- Direct Expense & Capital Strategy: Own the full lifecycle of CapEx and OpEx management, resetting expense targets dynamically based on quarterly performance to maintain strict fiscal discipline while supporting rapid R&D growth.
- Enable Cross-Functional Decisions: Serve as the primary finance business partner to engineering teams, collaborating with Accounting, Treasury, and Tax to finalize leasing arrangements and ensure accurate budget tracking and purchase order integrity.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Strategic Financial Acumen: Expert-level proficiency in financial planning and analysis, with a proven ability to manage complex P&L modeling and multi-year strategic forecasting in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical & Analytical Expertise: Advanced skills in SQL, Snowflake, and Tableau, combined with the ability to build sophisticated models in Excel or Google Sheets and a passion for using AI tools to streamline financial workflows.
- Collaborative Influence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence senior stakeholders, translating dense financial data into compelling narratives for non-finance business partners.
- Operational Precision: Strong understanding of financial close processes, accruals, and expense management, with the ability to navigate ambiguous situations and manage multiple high-priority projects independently.
- Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Mountain View office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
