Software is at the heart of all aspects of Formlabs products. We aim to bring innovative 3D printers to the desks and shops of designers, artists, and professionals the world over. Our software is integral to ensuring exceptional experiences with our products as it bridges the transition from digital models to beautiful physical forms in 3D printing. The Software Team develops the printer firmware that drives our hardware, PreForm, the most powerful and intuitive desktop print application with advanced 3D geometric and print algorithms and our web-based monitoring tools.
Formlabs’ web team designs and maintains our websites, which provide our customers with compelling learning and shopping experiences. We also empower internal users with the tools to manage website content and experiences. We are looking for a senior-level web developer to help us create elegant, fast, scalable and user-friendly web applications.
If you’re passionate about building great web software end-to-end and want to work with a remarkable, interdisciplinary team building a 3D printing ecosystem, we want you on the Form Team as a Senior Full Stack Web Developer.
The Job:
- Develop headless CMS backend code that powers our website on a technology stack based on Django
- Improve and maintain the team’s CI/CD pipeline
- Develop user-facing front-end code using Next.js and our GraphQL API
- Work closely with our product and design teams to develop compelling and consistent web user experiences
- Work with UX team to improve the user experience of the website
- Collaborate with UX designers to implement a best-in-class website
Your Profile:
- You are a proven web developer, with 10+ years of experience post-graduate experience
- You can build and ship web applications in a production environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders alike
- Experience coding in Python and Typescript/JavaScript frameworks, such as Django, ReactJS and NextJS
- Have an understanding of Kubernetes and Jenkins (or similar)
- Break down complex initiatives into concrete iterative pieces
- Write clear code, document your work and provide high-quality code reviews
Bonus Skills:
- Understanding of content management systems (we use Django CMS)
- Experience working with GraphQL
