We are looking for a Senior Global Benefits Analyst that will be part of our Total Rewards team. A successful candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment and has a passion for creating meaningful experiences. We are looking for someone that works well in teams and cross functionally, exercises critical thinking and judgment, has a desire to improve existing benefit programs and processes, as well as driving our mission and goals.

A typical day:

  • Management and support of:
    • Global expatriate insurance, travel health insurance, business travel insurance, multinational pooling, Airbnb Employee Travel Credit program, and international pension plan
    • Global processes and inventories that support our regional benefit managers and teams. Examples include tracking global benefit minimums and standards, standardizing global benefit processes, running global benefit audits, and creating global benefits reporting
    • Global Leave and Time Away programs (global caregiver leave, global personal leave, global maternity and paternity leave, phased return to work program, public emergency time, holidays, global bereavement and coordinated company days off)
    • Communication and branding benefit programs. Developing benefit campaigns (regional and global), updating country specific recruiting brochures, and reviewing internal benefits content on an ongoing basis
    • Vendors, carriers and external partners to ensure best in class service
  • Data analysis and reporting:
    • Creating and maintaining a benefits dashboard that summarizes benefits utilization and key insights that lead to program insights and actionable recommendations
    • Using data and benchmarking data to improve processes and ensure benefit programs are benchmarking competitively with our philosophy
    • Tracking key benefits budget metrics and overall benefits budget and financing on an ongoing basis
    • Finance related projects like budget forecasts, budget reconciliations, and creating and monitoring purchase orders
  • Ad-hoc support:
    • Support the administration of benefit programs managed by Benefits Manager and Global Benefits Manager
    • Special projects with benefit impact such as mergers and acquisitions, and organizational changes
    • Conducts competitive analysis of benefits programs, benefit renewals, RFPs, and new benefit implementations 
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Resolves escalated employee benefits inquiries via email or our ticketing system Jira
    • Oversees the development and improvement of workflows, business processes, and performs testing of Workday and other data systems to support vendor changes, benefit program changes, and employee enrollment
    • Reviews and audits benefit bills for accuracy and to ensure timely payment. Corresponds with vendors and internal accounts payable and finance team to resolve discrepancies

Your expertise:

  • 6+ years of benefits experience, either in benefits consulting, or supporting and managing benefit programs at an employer. Understanding of benefit renewals, benefit benchmarking, benefit implementation and change management, vendor and broker management
  • Strong, consistent, and effective communication and relationship building skills to work with cross functional teams and support a globally diverse workforce
  • Working knowledge of HRIS workflow, report development, and support tools. Experience with Workday and Jira is a plus
  • Comfortable with financial models and numbers, analyzing data sets, preparing benefit utilization dashboards, and developing and tracking financial budgets
  • Proficient with Excel and knowledge of Google Applications (Gmail, Google Docs, Calendar, etc.)
  • Self starter that takes initiative and also great at collaborating with team members
  • Approachable with a problem-solving attitude
  • Not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved in all aspects of the role - no job too big or too small
  • Comfortable working in fast paced environments with shifting priorities
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and apply excellent judgment

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.  

Pay Range$125,000—$155,000 USD
