How you can help make a better world of work
We are looking for a Senior Global Finance Analyst to help us continue the evolution of our team, driving compliance with accounting standards and indirect tax legislation, so that we can scale efficiently in a hyper growth environment.
In part of this team of amazing humans,
You will
- Research, prepare and present accounting position papers, and assess processes and transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Own the coordination, preparation and completion of all indirect tax balances and lodgements, communicating with service providers to ensure timely deliverables
- Oversee all accounting aspects of the Employee Share Option Plan (ESOP)
- Drive the annual insurance renewal, and business registration process for the group
- Work closely with the Global Finance Manager and Global Tax Manager to support the monthly close, ensuring accuracy in tax and other key balances for end of month, quarter and financial year
You have
- Detailed and current knowledge of accounting standards and and ability to apply them to our business scenarios
- The ability to effectively identify, research and assess outcomes of accounting standards and tax legislation thoroughly to present impacts on the business through position papers
- Experience with the preparation of, and lodgement of indirect tax returns (ie GST, VAT, US Sales tax)
- An ability to take a coordinating role in a complex process, requiring input from various stakeholders
- Familiarity with month end close processes
You are
- A fully qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with comprehensive understanding of accounting standards and experience of practically applying them to operational situations
- Capable of juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic, rapidly growing and fluid organization
- Highly organised and skilled at creating structure in situations that are uncertain or ambiguous for a rapidly growing business
- Excellent communication skills - able to communicate situations and solutions clearly and concisely (verbally and in writing)
- Great at providing effective and proactive stakeholder engagement with business partner approach that results in Collaborative, dependable working style that enables delivery of own and Finance Team goals
