Senior Governmental Relations Specialist (m/f/d)

Our mission is to catalyze charging infrastructure and in this role you will play a crucial part in paving the way. The market is still new which is why government and industry players still have to find a common way to regulate the market and bring in new innovation. Your role will be at the core of the interplay between government, industry players and our company. You will position EcoG and its purpose within the discussions of governmental and industrial stakeholders. You will open doors for EcoG and offer unique insights from EcoG into this world. In this role, you will closely collaborate with external as well as internal stakeholders to help educate the market and government officials on the future of charging infrastructure.In more detail, your responsibilities will entail
Building strategic industry alliances & deepening relationships as well as driving key policy initiatives with pan-EU and national regulators
Advising senior executives at EcoG on implications of key policies such as Afir and EPBD
Creating governmental relations strategy for EcoG including relevant networks to be part of, content to be created & displayed, liaising with and visits of politicians
Creating & executing communication formats that position EcoG in a governmental context
Managing PR agencies in Germany & the U.S. to create highly relevant interviews, podcast sessions, panels for our C-Level to be positioned and perceived by prospects of the company
Managing working students who support in general communication topics (e.g. internal communication formats)
We will want to get to know you if you bring with you the following qualification and experience:
5+ years of relevant work experience in government, public policy and/or a multinational corporation
You have created meaningful industrial alliances or worked as a spokesperson in a governmental related institutions and have a good network either in Berlin or Brussels
You know your way through the governmental jungle and are able to position a deep tech scale-up from the e-mobility space to have a seat a the table
You are able to use the entire communication toolbox from regulatory affairs to public relations, social as well as good writing and speaking/moderation skills
You are a networker with strong people skills and are able to successfully lead your projects outside and inside the company
Ease working across a range of complex issues; ability to learn new topics quickly and move between subjects
Demonstrated analytical and independent problem-solving skills, sound judgment and strong collaborative decision-making skills
Strong initiative, entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking
Highest level of integrity and professionalism
You are fluent in German and English
