Your Role And Your Team

We have an exciting new opportunity for a hands-on, curious, and proactive team player with experience of working to EU / German HSE policies and laws to join our team as a Senior Safety, Health and environment Specialist!

Working hand-in-hand with our Engineering Lab Tests team to provide them with practical and consultative support in complying with laws and regulations as well as creating internal processes and best practices for the future.

Creating and delivering training, performing assessments, coaching, and supporting your colleagues is all in a day’s work in this role. Fostering a safe and healthy environment, your focus will be on safety as we work towards serial production of our eVTOL jet.

Your day to day:

  • Transform theoretical background knowledge into practical, efficient solutions tailored for a testing organization.
  • Hazard evaluation on various workplaces, including workshops, test areas, and operator stations.
  • Organise and support risk assessments for test rigs, test setups, and workshops alongside the team.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures for test rigs and setups, machines, tools, and chemicals.
  • Identify and implement best practices in alignment with the lab testing organization.
  • Develop a customized HSE management system framework and dedicated programs, including training and organizational guidance, coaching, and support, to grow a culture that recognizes, evaluates, and controls concerns.
  • Support in identifying, monitoring, and evaluating compliance with the local occupational safety and environmental regulations.
  • Support the development of the Corporate HSE management system and building the HSE document management system.

About you:

We are looking for a hands-on, proactive Health, Safety, and environment specialist from a manufacturing or engineering environment.  Knowledgeable about German and wider EU HSE regulations and laws and a great communicator who can influence and encourage others to adhere to safety regulations and recommendations.

Extensive experience as an EHS Office, Quality Manager, Safety Manager, or similar is essential.

Reliable, critical thinking, and analytical, you will have a strong execution focus with the ability to create and deliver Standard Operating Procedures, training, and assessments.

 

Key requirements:

  • University degree in the field of environmental science or engineering. Good understanding of HSE European rules and regulations
  • Good knowledge of a variety of EHS regulations, ideally German or international.
  • Experience of relevant ISO and DIN standards (ISO45000, ISO14001)
  • Good knowledge of machinery
  • Good knowledge of erection and operation of electrical test equipment (EN50191) would be beneficial,
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
  • English and German language proficiency
