What can you expect in this role: 

Teads is seeking a seasoned Senior Insights Manager to join our team in Tokyo, Japan. This role is designed for someone capable of overseeing research projects for both brands and agencies, contributing to international endeavours, and offering support to our JAPAC offices.

You will develop and maintain relationships with different research vendors – from Nielsen, Kantar to smaller players or innovative platforms such as GlobalWebIndex. You will also be in charge of developing research projects for our biggest APAC clients through our internal tools and support Insights Director in structuring R&I operations in the region.

This is a client-facing role that suits a well-organised person with an eye for detail and previous experience within research and the media landscape. You are proactive, have high standards of client service and a consultative approach.

  • Answer to requests related to insights from APAC sales teams
  • Coordinate and execute research projects
  • Write and distribute briefs amongst research agencies
  • Select suitable partners to run the study
  • Educate Teads’ sales teams and give recommendations on the best research methodologies for a given project
  • Keep track of projects and prepare regular updates for the team and salespeople – including costs, results, learning and best practices
  • Preparation of campaign/audience-based insights and creation of decks for client presentations
  • Regular client presentations over the phone or face to face
  • Troubleshooting of issues and management with the tech and ad-operations team
  • Proactively pitch new research ideas and stay up to date with new vendors and trends
  • Map out local research vendors in countries Teads operates
  • Curate marketing materials and hold internal workshops for understanding of research
  • Case-study creation (ppt, pdf, video, blog…) together with the Marketing team

About You

  • Minimum 5 years experience in research and project management
  • Understanding of the programmatic media landscape and data
  • Previous experience managing multiple projects
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in leading conference calls and dealing with clients
  • Proficient with Excel and Powerpoint
  • Native Japanese with business-level English is required
