Our Opportunity:

Chewy’s Private Brands team is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented, ambitious Senior Instock Manager to lead inventory strategy and execution for our Consumables business. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing strategy, Instock strategy, vendor onboarding, fill rate and on-time improvements, and more.  You will develop mechanisms to monitor and mitigate inventory expiration risk and lead initiatives across Private Brands including automated buying logic optimization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own end-to-end planning and execution of inventory purchasing through fulfillment for large segment of our business
  • Deliver the optimal customer experience by ensuring we have the right product quantities, in the right places, at the right time 
  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives with Merchandising, Finance, Vendor Compliance, EDI, and others to build the plans and operational rigor to scale our business 
  • Act decisively and independently, taking initiative to move work forward
  • Partner with technology and product teams to drive improvement in systems, tools and processes.
  • Drive forecasting accuracy and bias improvements
  • Analyze multiple, large data sets to identify actionable insights that drive improvement across Chewy’s broader Instock organization.
  • Develop project white papers or project plans. Create larger written documents that require input from multiple cross-functional contributors.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation and standardization to scale the business
  • Help to design, validate, and institutionalize best practices within the Instock organization.

What You’ll Need:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain
  • MBA/MS (preferably in General Management, Finance or Supply Chain) or BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business Administration or Business Management, Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering or related field
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with statistical modeling
  • Proven experience and understanding of purchasing, forecasting, and inventory management
  • Strong Analytical tool kit including advanced proficiency with Excel and SQL.
  • Track record of taking ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
  • Position may require occasional travel 

A Plus if You Have:

  • Ecommerce experience
  • Tableau, R, Python, or KNIME experience
  • Experience with traditional Project Management
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Exempt salary team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations. 

Base Salary Range$129,500—$207,000 USD
