THE ROLE

As a Senior Internal Auditor at EverPure (former Pure Storage), you’ll be a key architect in scaling our global risk and controls landscape. Joining our dynamic Internal Audit team in Prague, you will act as a strategic advisor, partnering with cross-functional teams in the US and across our international vendor network to ensure our "radically simple" mission is backed by robust operational integrity. This isn't just about checking boxes; it’s about providing the high-level business process acumen needed to design and extend the Pure brand of audit. You will play a vital role in identifying efficiencies and navigating the complexities of a fast-growing, all-flash enterprise leader, ensuring our internal processes are as innovative as our technology.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Drive SOX Excellence: Participating in the planning, execution, and reporting of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program, ensuring all business and IT control designs are rigorous and effective.
  • Partner for Readiness: Collaborate with global business partners to update process narratives and flowcharts, providing expert guidance on SOX readiness as new applications and processes come into scope.
  • Modernize Audit Techniques: Influence the evolution of the audit function by integrating data analytics and new technologies to streamline assessments and uncover deeper business insights.
  • Execute Impactful Audits: Conduct operational and channel audits with professional skepticism, identifying control weaknesses and partnering with management to develop meaningful remediation plans.
  • Manage Stakeholder Relations: Act as a primary liaison with external auditors and internal management, facilitating smooth testing timelines and gaining cooperation across functional areas.
  • Advise on Growth: Provide proactive risk and control guidance to leadership as the company scales, ensuring that rapid growth is supported by a stable and secure operational framework.
  • Solve Critical Problems: Handle special investigations and non-routine projects with agility, delivering high-quality results in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
  • Leverage generative and agentic AI technologies to enhance audit testing, support data analysis, and drive greater efficiency and effectiveness across audit activities.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Seasoned Professional Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of related experience in assurance or risk (typically supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting), including at least 2 years in public accounting or a US SOX compliance environment.
  • Technical Mastery: A full understanding of professional concepts including Accounting Standard 5, PCAOB, and SEC guidance, with the ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Proven ability to evaluate processes and controls within complex business applications (familiarity with SAP and Salesforce is a significant advantage).
  • Strategic Communication: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills in English, with the ability to gain the cooperation of others and present technical information to diverse peer groups.
  • Global Mindset: Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule to bridge time zone differences with US teams and a willingness to travel internationally as needed.
  • Professional Certification: Possession of (or progress toward) relevant certifications such as CIA, ACCA, or CPA is essential for this career-level role.
  • Office Presence: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
