HelloFresh is seeking to hire a data-driven Senior Logistics Manager to join our AU Downstream Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Director of Downstream Supply Chain, this newly created role goes beyond traditional process management; it's about pioneering change and driving innovation in network planning and logistics optimisation for thousands of customers across Australia. 

You will closely collaborate with multiple stakeholders; International Logistics, Data, Product and Engineering teams, local fulfillment, & our logistics line haul & last mile provider. You will focus on orchestrating these multifaceted relationships to develop a cohesive function to drive improvements and efficiencies across our network, ensuring alignment and synergy in pursuit of HelloFresh's overarching business goals.

What you’ll do

 

  • Own the Network Planning and Customer Order Allocation processes: Partner with the Operations Research team to develop and apply algorithmic solutions to design efficient shipping networks from distribution centres to customers and focusing on minimising the total cost of ownership. Handle order allocation strategies, considering factors like meal swapping, logistic costs, and service constraints at each DC.
  • Small Team Management: Lead a team of agile, high-performers handling a wide spectrum of topics, from daily network operations, critical incident resolution, through to delivering strategic business priorities. 
  • Holiday and Peak Management Strategies: Develop and deliver plans for managing our network during holidays to minimise customer impact while maintaining efficiency and responsiveness across our end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Innovative Demand Steering: Manage and influence customer demand to mitigate operational constraints. Integrate complex data sets, including forecasts, network and supply chain nodes, and commercial KPIs such as Average order rate, conversion and operational cost efficiency, into an automated, hands-off solution that balances customer impact with supply chain efficiency.
  • Collaborative Development and Operational Excellence: Work closely with stakeholder teams to define and implement new Supply Chain Optimisation solutions and act as a coordinating link among departments. Lead initiatives for network enhancement simulations, automate demand management processes and support the development of Logistics tools and services.

 

What you’ll bring You are a highly skilled professional with experience applying complex data sets to solve supply chain management scenarios. Your qualifications include:
  • A Scientific or Engineering Bachelor degree, a Project Management certification is a plus. Background in Operations or Logistics is a big plus.
  • At least three years of experience in a role within supply chain optimisation, demonstrating a track record of successful innovation and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and project management, with a tech-savvy approach to understanding evolving industry practices. 
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and lead cross-functional teams, delivering results through collaboration and innovation.
  • You are collaborative and influential: you can work with multiple stakeholders to influence them toward a winning strategy that achieves a common goal.
  • You demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset: you thrive in fast-paced environments, make sense of ambiguous situations, and enjoy taking on new responsibilities. You generate new ideas that make a measurable business impact.
  • You are a results-oriented doer with a hands-on mentality and a zest for action.
  • You are ready to take on responsibility in a dynamic working environment starting on day one.
  • Full Australian Driver’s License.
  • Able to travel domestically (AU/NZ) for short periods of time (on average, one trip per month).

Duration: Full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia.

Location: Chippendale &/or Pemulwuy, New South Wales (with requirement for travel within ANZ)
