About the role

As a Machine Learning Engineer on the Center for Data and Insights team, you will help create end-to-end solutions to bring the power of machine learning and data modeling to stakeholders and consumers and lay the foundation that allows our team to accelerate problem solving and scale its impact.

You will also:

• Independently deliver effective solutions to problems with full stack ownership, from data to ml product ops and the service feedback loop.

• Synthesize common patterns and build effective abstractions across various use cases

• Partner with the Data Engineering, and Analytics teams across Business/Product/Content/Marketing in a two-way exchange of best practices

• Communicate results to a variety of audiences, technical and non-technical

In the role of Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will report to the Director of ML and Data Science. We are considering applicants for the location of Los Angeles (Culver City).

 

About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...

• You have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields (Masters/PhD preferred)

• You have five or more years of applied ML experience with experience delivering quality results

• You have solid experience in building production machine learning systems, including customer/item embedding and clustering, recommendation and ranking systems, time series forecasting, and causal inference with several frameworks

• You have hands-on experience with MLOps and familiarity with practice: Infrastructure as Code, ML Ops System Design (Pipelines, Model Registry, Model Serving, Monitoring)

• You have an ability to translate business context and intuition into data-oriented hypotheses to guide impact

• You have experience with open-source ML frameworks such as sklearn, Keras/PyTorch, xgboost, cloud ML frameworks such as GCP Vertex AI, and MLops framework such as MLflow, infrastructure-as-code framework such as Terraform

The Data Science & Machine Learning group, as part of Center for Data and Insights, is a newly created and growing team. Our mission is to leverage comprehensive data and effective DS/ML techniques to make an impact to Crunchyroll’s business by inspiring, supporting, and guiding our partners to be data-aware in their decisions, and analyzing, understanding, and improving our customers experience with models, algorithms, experiments, and insights.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
