The WORK:

Ripple’s Competitive Intelligence Program is designed to ensure that Ripple’s leaders and employees remain current on industry trends and market developments by providing timely information, analysis and actionable insights. Such intelligence is pivotal in shaping the company's strategy, product roadmap, investments among other decisions at a corporate level. 

This is an individual contributor role reporting to our VP of Strategic Initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Understand and share insights around emerging topics in crypto and blockchain to make them easier for senior executives to comprehend and digest
  • Develop a deep understanding of various crypto and blockchain technologies and projects from both technology and business perspectives and drive actionable insights
  • Conduct analysis on industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threats for Ripple and share findings through different communication channels
  • Become a go-to resident expert in all things crypto
  • Identify key areas relevant to Ripple based on discussions with senior leadership and cross functional stakeholders
  • Initiate and support thought-leadership across the crypto/blockchain industry to position Ripple as an industry crypto/thought-leader.
  • Regularly communicate with internal stakeholders, external vendor partners to collect, harmonize & review data, build models, interpret results, and formulate key insights.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to translate insights into real actions in business (e.g. product strategy, M&A strategy, etc.)
  • Attend key industry events on behalf of Ripple to gain first-row seat to the latest discussions in Crypto/Payments world
  • Educate internal teams about the latest in crypto and fintech

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

  • 6+ years of work experience related to market intelligence, publications,  consumer and/or industry research (ideally with key partners and customers in the payments, FinTech, crypto and financial services industry.)
  • A strong interest, curiosity and experience in institutional digital assets / crypto markets. Familiarity with the payments industry, a plus
  • Ability to develop evidence-based research, going beyond ‘desk’ research and leveraging business and financial skillset
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, particularly with translating data/ complex concepts towards actionable insights that can be easily understood by a general business audience
  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to explain insights through numbers
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills across a highly-matrix organization
  • Ability to work under time pressure and consistently produce high quality work
  • Ability to interact and represent Ripple at industry events
  • Strong industry connections in the crypto and blockchain community
  • Ability to travel frequently for internal meetings, offsites and external events as necessary
  • Strong presence across key communication channels used by crypto enthusiasts today, including and not limited to Twitter, Discord, Telegram, Reddit etc.
For positions that will be based in NY, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions. NY Annual Base Salary Range$163,252—$204,065 USD
