Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement & Professional Training 

Job Summary:The Sr. Continuous Improvement & Professional Training Manager (“Sr. CI Mgr.”) is responsible for driving operational excellence through training, process improvement, and strategic collaboration with Operations and ancillary teams. This role plays a key part in identifying performance gaps, developing and executing training strategies, and ensuring adherence to best practices and standardized processes. The Sr. CI Mgr. will lead a team comprising a salaried Learning leader and up to three Learning Associates to support site-wide initiatives that enhance efficiency, compliance, and overall performance as well as training all incoming managers and new hires.

You will...

  • Do strategic collaboration & site performance improvements
    • Actively participate in strategy calls that impact the site, providing insights on operational impacts across all departments within the DC. 
    • Develop and execute training plans for salaried operations leaders and associates before new initiatives launch.
    • Monitor performance post-launch, providing feedback on successes and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in daily performance management & issue resolution
    • Participate in daily meetings with Operations leaders to assess site performance and identify gaps.
    • Conduct root cause analysis for performance deficiencies and deploy the Learning team to address training-related gaps.
    • Engage cross-functional teams (Engineering, Maintenance, HR, WMS) as necessary to resolve non-training-related performance issues.
  • Own audit & compliance oversight
    • Develop and implement an audit process to ensure compliance with process adherence, 5S standards, and training execution.
    • Maintain accurate training logs and ensure proper documentation of associate training sessions.
    • Provide weekly reporting on training performance, associate interactions, and compliance metrics.
  • Be responsible for training program development & execution
    • Design, update, and monitor training modules to align with evolving operational processes.
    • Ensure training associates are equipped with up-to-date knowledge and resources.
    • Ensure sufficient training coverage across all shifts, including at least one day per week per shift and weekend rotations.
  • Perform data analysis & continuous improvement
    • Analyze operational and training data to assess performance trends and identify areas for improvement.
    • Request data analysis from the Business Intelligence team to support root cause investigations.
    • Implement data-driven improvements to optimize site performance and training effectiveness.
  • Lead operational & cross-functional support
    • Be present for all site launches to provide hands-on support and ensure a smooth transition.
    • Maintain strong, positive relationships with Operations and ancillary departments to ensure minimal disruptions.
    • Support a culture of continuous improvement by fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing across teams.       

You have....

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in operations, training, continuous improvement, or a related field.
  • Experience leading teams and driving process improvements within a distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across departments.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends, based on business needs.
  • Must be onsite at least 40 hours per week, with additional days / hours required based on site performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (preferred).
