The Senior Manager, Data Quality Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Data Quality will play a critical role in ensuring the completeness and accuracy of account data across the organization. This role involves overseeing data quality initiatives, managing a team of contractors supporting Salesforce Case requests, and collaborating with global stakeholders to develop and implement an Account Data Policy & Strategy. The ideal candidate will leverage best practices to maintain data integrity, drive strategic account cleansing efforts, and contribute to the overall improvement of data management practices.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Quality Management:
    • Ensure account data is accurate, complete, and adheres to established best practices.
    • Develop and implement data quality standards and metrics to monitor and enhance data integrity.
    • Regularly review and assess data quality reports to identify and address data discrepancies.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and manage a team of contractors supporting Salesforce Case requests.
    • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.
    • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure timely resolution of data-related issues.
  • Account Data Policy Development:
    • Collaborate with global stakeholders to create and refine an Account Data Policy.
    • Ensure the policy aligns with industry best practices and organizational requirements.
    • Communicate and enforce data policy standards across teams and regions.
  • Account Cleansing Strategy:
    • Analyze current account data for accuracy and completeness.
    • Develop and implement strategies for account cleansing and data enrichment.
    • Monitor progress and effectiveness of cleansing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment on data quality objectives.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on data quality issues and solutions.
    • Foster strong relationships with global stakeholders to support data quality initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data quality management.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to data quality processes and tools.
    • Drive a culture of data excellence within the organization.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in data quality management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing teams and handling Salesforce Case requests.
  • Strong knowledge of data quality best practices, data governance, and account data management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement data policies and strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with global stakeholders.
  • Experience with data cleansing tools and techniques is a plus.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $159,000—$239,000 USD
