Sitting within the MongoDB Professional Services organization, the Senior Manager, Engagement Management is responsible for the Services Sales in a specified region with a team of Engagement Managers. This leadership role inspects the activities of their team, owns the regional forecast, is involved in key deals and account strategy, and enables the team to be successful.

The ideal candidate combines people management, operational cadence and strategy in day to day activities. The technical background, leadership skills and ability to build relationships internally and externally are the foundation for success.! 

This role will be based in Singapore.

The Senior Manager, Engagement Management will
  • Develop and maintain the business plan for the region. Your team is responsible for creating sales enthusiasm, Professional Services branding, developing pipeline, as well as operational excellence during the various sales stages, using MEDDIC, and remaining attached during the delivery of engagement. Where you manage the team to make them successful in their responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Engagement Managers from HR perspective. The people's responsibility includes hiring/onboarding, developing, and managing attrition as well as conducting Performance and Growth processes for the team
  • Strategic planning. Identify market, and organizational demand, drive the required changes in the organization across the different departments
Experience you'll need
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise technology professional services in a customer-facing services sales role, carrying individual quota 
  • 4+ years experience working in a SaaS company for Services or Consulting as a people leader
  • Proven track record of exceeding targets
  • Familiarity with MEDDIC and Services Sales Forecasting
  • Experience in hiring, building, coaching, and managing team members
  • Keen adaptability to technology innovation with an ability to learn quickly in a rapid-growth, fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • A “can-do” attitude and the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
  • Ability to adapt, and implement changes in processes quickly
  • Ability to consult with and influence at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to quickly develop relationships and assert credibility with both technical and business teams
  • High motivation for a role that requires soft and managerial skills to drive change and improvement across the MongoDB PS organization
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations

  • Ability to engage on both small and enterprise opportunities, facilitate meetings, and consult on account strategy
  • Familiarity with the MongoDB technology stack; expert knowledge not necessary but you must be able to communicate scope expectations well with customer executives and technical stakeholders alike
In your first 60 days, you will
  • Attend new hire sales training to learn about MongoDB’s technology, what we sell and how we sell
  • Learn about how MongoDB Professional Services helps customers adopt the MongoDB developer data platform, and gain familiarity with the entire suite of PS offerings
  • Familiarize yourself with the services sales methodology, organizational structure, and services sales-related IP
  • Gain proficiency with our services sales tools
  • Be engaged in the day-to-day management of your team, and business
Within 120 Days, you will
  • Identify growth areas for your territory
  • Develop a business plan
  • Manage accurate forecast
