Senior Manager, Facilities and Maintenance
Location: Tomken Rd & Matheson Blvd East, Mississauga
Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. Will require flexibility work outside these hours as well.
About the Role
The Sr. Manager, Facilities & Maintenance is responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing maintenance operations within a Distribution Centre and to ensure that safety and reliability standards are achieved. Reporting to the Site Director, this hands-on role will perform and oversee the technical tasks related to the engineering, installation, maintenance, and sanitation of production equipment, infrastructure, and facilities.
What you will be doing:
- Accountable for meeting performance targets related to equipment uptime and adherence to distribution centre standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Develop comprehensive plans, oversee execution, coordinate vendors and internal teams, and as needed, directly perform preventative maintenance on critical distribution centre assets, including production equipment, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, security systems
- Manage vendors and lead a lean team of maintenance supervisors, leads, and technicians to troubleshoot maintenance issues and repair or replace of assets as required
- Source and manage MRO spare parts, consumables, tools, and other related maintenance equipment needed to ensure assets are in good working order
- Coordinate with Project Managers and site stakeholders to plan, install, commission, and maintain production equipment in the distribution center
- Manage contracts for contractors and suppliers; define scope of work, oversee tasks, and ensure completion of deliverables
- Develop and manage budget, spend approvals process, and financial reporting in cooperation with the National and International property team.
- Facilitate root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring maintenance related issues
- Promptly communicate all safety related issues and concerns
- Support facility operation to ensure on time, in quality ship out of all customer orders
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to HelloFresh’s safety policies, wearing personal protective equipment (ppe) and clothing as required, and promptly reporting any workplace hazards to First Aid and Supervisors
- Lead the external/internal and international team members through the detailed design process for each project in the portfolio
- Support the development of national facilities design and construction standards, aligning with the international design standards, to incorporate latest operational requirements
- Ensure that the DC design and build achieves and/or exceeds the DC Audit and regional OHS standards; coordinate with Facilities Managers to conduct facility and equipment upgrades, maintenance and repairs to achieve and/or exceed standards
- Work with Production, Supply Chain, SCM Tech, and other CA/global resources to enable our team and deliver on system, data, and process requirements within the DC
- Other duties as assigned
At a minimum, you have:
- 5+ years of facilities management experience
- Electrical, mechanical, and maintenance-related certifications
- Knowledge of trades related to site facilities, repair and overhaul
- Strong experience or exposure to Construction project management, reporting and scheduling tools
- Ideally a good understanding of complex M&E projects, with a focus on refrigeration technology
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance processes, procedures, and systems
- Knowledge of occupational of OHS and Food Safety and its application in a warehouse and production environment

- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Calendar, Gmail, Docs, Sheets), and video conferencing (Hangouts Meet)
