The GTM Planning Applications Team

We are a dynamic team within the GTM Strategy and Operations department, dedicated to optimizing and enhancing our business processes through innovative planning and analytics solutions. We build and manage foundational models on Anaplan to support our most critical planning processes such as Territory Carving, Quota Setting, Headcount and Capacity Management, and Demand Planning. Our solutions are integral to Okta’s success, acting as a force multiplier to boost the productivity of our operations team and streamline our planning processes.

The Senior Manager, GTM Planning Applications Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager to lead our Planning Applications team. This role requires a blend of expertise in Anaplan and strong project management and leadership skills. The Senior Manager will oversee the development and maintenance of our Anaplan models, manage a team of model builders, and ensure the effective execution of our GTM planning and processes.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Anaplan model builders, foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Oversee team workflows, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects, aligning with business objectives and timelines. Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular project updates. Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Maintain and enhance existing Anaplan models for Territory Carving, Quota Setting, Headcount and Capacity Management, and Demand Planning. Ensure the technical integrity and scalability of Anaplan solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Finance, to understand business needs and translate them into effective Anaplan solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the Anaplan platform.
  • Drive the adoption of Anaplan across the organization, promoting its value and benefits.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Anaplan model building and management, with experience in Saas software preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years owning the end to end delivery
  • Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following! 

  • Anaplan certification and technical expertise is highly desirable but not required

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$146,000—$220,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $164,000—$246,000 USD
