Senior Manager, Investor Relations

Lyft is looking for a Senior Manager of Investor Relations (IR) to join the team and contribute to the development and execution of its IR strategy. In this role, the Senior Manager will report to the Head of Investor Relations and serve as a key spokesperson for the company with the investor community. This role requires a self-starter and strong team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

Responsibilities:
  • Expert on Lyft’s business. Acts as a spokesperson with the investment community regarding the Company’s business model, operating results, and business strategy. Assists investors and analysts with modeling the company’s financial statements and understanding its valuation 
  • Manages and contributes to all aspects of quarterly earnings, which includes helping to prepare the quarterly financial press releases, conference call script, Q&A documents, investor presentations and other associated materials; assist in drfting annual and quarterly SEC filings
  • Collaborates across departments (including comms and policy) to help ensure a consistent corporate image is presented to all external parties 
  • Supports the Company’s participation in investor and analyst events, including owning core processes to maintain our investor database and CRM system 
  • Supports planning and execution of the Annual Shareholder Meeting
  • Supports planning and execution of the company’s investor-facing ESG reporting 
  • Works closely with other teams on a range of ad hoc projects, for example related to internal and external financial planning, forecasting, reporting, M&A, etc 
  • Collaborates on developing the strategy for the investor relations function including executing the IR operating plan and budget
  • Some travel may be required
Experience:
  • 7+ years of professional experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, corporate development, or other Wall Street position
  • Experience with a high-growth, publicly traded technology company is preferred, ideally in an investor relations role
  • High degree of financial literacy, including GAAP accounting practices
  • Strong understanding of valuation and modeling techniques used by investors and analysts
  • Advanced analytical skills with an ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Thorough knowledge of Reg FD and other SEC disclosure rules and regulations
  • Advanced communications skills (written and spoken) and relationship skills
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software; familiarity with IR focused software/tools a plus 
  • Keen intellect, unquestioned ethics, a sense of urgency and the ability to simultaneously execute on both tactical and strategic projects with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting; MBA a plus, but not required

Starting in September 2023, this role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.

The expected range of pay for this position in the US is $171,000 - $190,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
