Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure and Architecture

Location: United States

You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of IT services while working closely with the business and Enterprise partners on technology modernization and integration services. You will be responsible for leading all efforts regarding enterprise networks, infrastructure, and architecture that support all business operations. This position is responsible for developing technology roadmaps that ensure business success while driving efficiencies through effective lifecycle management. The leader delivers innovation, automation, and efficiencies across on premises data centers and Cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team, reporting directly to the VP of IT, to ensure organizational goals are met.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high performing team and hold individuals accountable to expectations.
  • Design and implement strategy, objectives, and performance results to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to develop strategic roadmaps for infrastructure that align with the company’s operational initiatives.
  • Partner effectively with all levels of the organization to identify, prioritize, and drive strategic initiatives that impact the organization.
  • Direct the Infrastructure and Networking teams to support all services and systems in the company.
  • Build and enhance effective systems and platforms to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Oversee varied and simultaneous complex network, system, and security projects.
  • Establish continuity of service plans for critical services by cross-training and developing resource plans for all services within the scope of the team
  • Identify and implement improvements to the environment including monitoring, logging, toolsets and process changes necessary to reduce risk, improve availability, and manage technical debt
  • Document integrations and architecture to improve the consistency of service and provide a baseline for audits, technology improvements, and lifecycle management
  • Perform, document, and recommend improvements as a result of audits, vulnerability tests, and penetration tests in all supported environments
  • Ensure the compliance of IT shared services with relevant regulations and standards, such as security and data protection standards
  • Develop project plans and provide leadership to direct reports to execute plans on time and within budget.
  • Analyze the costs, value, and risks of technology to advise senior leaders and drive investments.
  • Establish service level agreements (SLAs) that meet business needs and monitor performance to ensure adherence to commitments.
  • Implement technology and optimizations to streamline operations and security.
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways to gain a competitive advantage.
  • Execute people leader duties, such as performance management, timely completion of required training, ensure team metrics and associate career growth objectives are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience leading network, data center, compute, and cloud infrastructure teams
  • Experience with automation and IAM/SSO platforms.Extensive experience managing people and leading IT project teams
  • Strong hands-on experience and knowledge of Cloud computing platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Detail oriented, analytical team player who provides solutions to business demands and technology challenges
  • Self-directed leader with the ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, written, and presentation

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $168,000 - $227,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.
