Senior Manager, Marketing Analytics

Wayfair is looking for a Senior Manager to lead our Marketing Technology Analytics team. Our Marketing Technology team is responsible for building Wayfair's world class, ML powered technology platform that optimizes and powers all of Wayfair's paid and organic advertising to drive billions of dollars in annual revenue. Our platforms leverage ML. We build innovative ML products and services that enhance our customer experience, improve customer loyalty, and ultimately grow our business. We have a modern tech stack including sophisticated capabilities around AI, data science, causal inference and personalization. 

What You'll Do

  • Own the strategic analytic roadmap to unlock insights and guide the business - everything from identifying, testing and optimizing new features to broad level strategic direction that is grounded in data evidence and heavy analytical rigor.
  • Leverage experimentation to measure tradeoffs and short/long term impact of various strategic initiatives and derive actionable insights to inform ML product roadmap. 
  • Be responsible for monitoring customer behavior on our websites and platform health to proactively identify and resolve critical issues.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, ML Scientists and Product Managers, while interfacing with a broader group of Marketing stakeholders.
  • Hire, manage, and mentor a high performing team of analysts.
  • Communicate key insights and recommendations to influence cross-functional executive leaders across the organization.
  • Proactively identify areas where analytical efforts can produce strong business value add. Prioritize resources and hiring across multiple areas and balancing short-term needs with longer-term initiatives.

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of analytics experience with a history of delivering successful products across the full product lifecycle.
  • Bachelors in computer science, engineering, statistics, economics, MIS, or other quantitative discipline; Masters preferred.
  • Proven experience managing diverse teams and growing analysts
  • Excellent communication & the ability to tailor it to different stakeholders.
  • Experience defining a clear strategy with a robust roadmap and delivering against it.
  • Experience designing and implementing highly visible, complex, and innovative analytical solutions that drive business decision making.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and technical abilities along with problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success influencing senior level stakeholders on strategic direction based on recommendations backed by in-depth analysis.
  • Familiarity with ML and experience working with ML scientists and engineers.
  • In-depth experience with SQL and Python 
  • Experience with experimental design (A/B tests) and statistical analysis to drive business decision making, highly preferred.
