We are actively seeking a seasoned and accomplished Senior Manager of Network Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in the practical implementation of the latest data center network designs, protocols, and scaling solutions. This critical leadership role will involve driving innovation, managing a talented team of network engineers, and ensuring the robustness and scalability of our network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled network engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
    • Provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure the team meets and exceeds performance expectations.
  • Data Center Network Design and Implementation:
    • Leverage your extensive experience to design and implement cutting-edge data center network architectures that align with industry best practices and organizational goals.
    • Oversee the deployment of scalable and resilient network solutions to support the evolving needs of the business.
  • Protocol Expertise:
    • Demonstrate expertise in the latest networking protocols and technologies, ensuring their effective implementation within the data center environment.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant technologies to enhance network performance.
  • Scalability Planning:
    • Develop and implement strategies for scaling network infrastructure to accommodate the growth and evolving demands of the organization.
    • Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize network resources.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other engineering leaders, program managers,, and software  developers to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other components.
    • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to drive overall technology operational excellence.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce robust security measures in collaboration with the security team, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Proactively identify and address potential security vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with network infrastructure vendors.
    • Assist in contract negotiation and ensure vendors meet performance and service level agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in network engineering with a focus on data center environments.
    • Building and supporting network infrastructure in an extensive lab environment that requires testing the latest generation of protocols and data speeds
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Extensive hands-on experience with the implementation of data center network designs, protocols, and scale.
    • Proficiency with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other relevant network technologies.
  • Certifications:
    • Industry-recognized certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic Vision:
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic vision for network engineering that aligns with overall business objectives.

This position is based in Lehi/Bluffdale Area of Utah. The base salary range is: $146,000 - $219,000 per year. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level, and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
