About the jobWe are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Manager of Software Development with a strong focus on bot development and automation. This role is pivotal within our End User Computing & Operations organization, responsible for leading a team of developers to design, build, and maintain innovative automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software development, automation technologies, and will be able to drive the strategic direction and execution of projects that enhance our operational efficiencies.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you’ll:
- Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for bot development and automation within the organization.
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Project Management:
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, and monitor project progress to ensure milestones are met.
- Manage stakeholder communications and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technical Expertise:
- Architect, design, and implement automation solutions using state-of-the-art technologies and best practices.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the automation solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in bot development and automation technologies.
- Operational Excellence:
- Drive continuous improvement in software development processes and methodologies.
- Implement and maintain best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiencies.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to understand their needs and provide effective automation solutions.
- Facilitate regular team meetings, project updates, and stakeholder reviews.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity within the team.

Required:
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in bot development, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and automation technologies.
- Strong background in end user computing and operations.
- Knowledge of industry frameworks and standards such as ITIL, COBIT, or ISO 27001 is preferred.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- A great communicator whether through written text, verbal language, or interpretive dance
- Leading SAFe, SAFe LPM and SAFe for Teams
- ITIL v4 Foundation or DevOps Similar certifications.
- AWS Practitioner, GCP or Azure entry level cloud certification
Desired:
- Google Workplace Certification (or similar professional certificate)
- Experience with AI and machine learning technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and frameworks.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles as they relate to software development and automation.
- Experience with supporting and administering internal tools (Active Directory, Okta, Slack, Zoom, JAMF, Google Workspace, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, etc.)
- Foundational Generative AI and MAchine learning for either AWS, GCP or Azure.
This role will be remote, based in India, Karnataka
