Twilio is the world’s leading customer engagement platform empowering developers to build modern communication applications and experiences. The Automation PMO team is looking for their next Senior Manager to shape the future of the organization. The team consists of dedicated Technical Program Managers that serve highly integrated and cross-functional product and engineering organizations to take programs from concept to delivery by leveraging best practices to ensure predictable and timely delivery.
You will be partnering and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders from Product, Engineering, Operations, Support and Legal to create cutting-edge AI solutions for customers make it a delight to use Twilio products. Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Guide and set Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for your team as well as expand on core processes for product teams to develop their own OKRs.
- Guide and enable the team to standardize on processes and procedures via your experience and certifications as well as industry best practices
- Sets clear priorities for direct reports and effectively helps them resolve prioritization conflicts. Enable them to own and drive projects to completion, on time, and with exceptional quality.
- Clearly communicate team goals and accomplishments with stakeholders to drive awareness and celebrate impact.
- Provide clear and actionable feedback regarding success and areas of opportunity to direct reports
- Provide exceptionally well crafted executive leadership reports that clearly articulate the progress of the product and engineering group as well as for guide direct reports on reporting for critical initiatives.
- Use your influence and tact to drive team results and grow a coalition of partners
- Effectively drive alignment and focus cross functionally with internal stakeholders
- Exchange detailed and complex technical information in a comprehensive manner with an array of program teams and stakeholders.
- Partner with a variety of stakeholders in Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to get buy in and provide resourcing for critical programs and initiatives.

Required:
- 5 or more years of project and/or program management experience
- 5 or more years of managing direct reports
- BA/BS degree in computer science or similar degree
- Experience leading and managing the successful delivery of high impact and highly cross-functional programs
- Strong ability to quickly build relationships and establish rapport with various cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong ability to create clarity and movement in ambiguous situations with a passion to deliver innovative solutions at scale
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to think clearly, problem-solve and prioritize
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, ambiguous environment, with a default to action in order to adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements
Desired:
- Master’s in computer science or engineering or a related field or an MBA are preferred
- Certification in Project Management or relevant discipline
- Experience in telephony, email, messaging, social media, or other electronic communications.
- Experience in fraud/abuse prevention, carrier/regulatory compliance, KYC, user vetting, traffic analysis and related topics
Location
This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.
Travel
We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 5-10% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado: 149,440.00 - 186,800.00
- Based in New York, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): 158,240.00 - 197,800.00
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: 175,840.00 - 219,800.00
- This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
