The Community You Will Join: 

As part of a lean and empowered Marketing Ops team, this role will also diagnose and operationalize opportunities to continue improving the overall strategic rigor, operational efficiency, and business impact of Airbnb’s world-class marketing. The role will partner closely with Marketing leadership, along with Finance, Analytics, Creative, Geos, and other key cross-functional partners given the collaborative culture of Airbnb.

The Difference You Will Make:

Thisrolewill report into the Director of Marketing Operations, with an emphasis on business operations. In particular, as Airbnb expands into more markets across the world, the role will be responsible for building critical frameworks, processes, and assets to guide and support how the Marketing + Creative teams scale our work internationally.

A Typical Day: 

International Emphasis

  • Partner closely with the Director of International Marketing and other key stakeholders to design, build, and/or optimize critical frameworks, processes, and assets for our international expansion efforts. Examples may include: 
    • Optimizing the design, management, and reporting of our increasingly global and multifaceted marketing budget to enable clear market-specific views.
    • Developing the prioritization approach and ROI framework for local marketing opportunities.
    • Developing the org design and approach for workforce growth in new markets.
  • Drive annual planning process for International Marketing, as a key element of central planning and budgeting.
  • Serve as key operating partner for the Director of International Marketing on business operations for the International Marketing team, e.g., budget planning, mapping key moments for workshops and market visits.

Global/Central efforts

  • Oversee day to day partnership with FP&A, Resourcing, and Talent to ensure strategic allocation of budget and staff, design and optimize shared ‘source of truth’ trackers, and deliver reporting for Marketing and Creative leadership.
  • Identify opportunities and lead the design and implementation of strategic recommendations that enable step change gains in our operational effectiveness during a time of business and geo expansion.
  • Lead cross-cutting strategic initiatives and special projects for Marketing leadership as needed. Past examples include partnering with Marketing Directors across disciplines (Brand, Product, Growth) to map key actions to drive along the customer journey.

Your Expertise:

  • 12+ years of experience in global marketing operations, strategy & operations, and/or management consulting (or the equivalent). MBA is a plus.
  • Experience working with a global marketing organization across marketing and creative disciplines (Strategy, Brand, Product/Marcom, Growth, Media, Creative, Production, etc.) and with a range of non-US local teams.
  • Analytical, structured thinker with strong business acumen. Experience partnering with Finance (FP&A, Strategic Finance) and Analytics/Data Science.
  • Experience establishing systems and developing processes in a dynamically scaling environment. Ability to take a vague problem, crisply frame the challenge, identify a path forward, and drive an initiative over the finish-line.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.  

Pay Range$185,000—$227,000 USD
