Your daily workout

  • You will represent the R&D perspective on our Smart Strength product line in our North American team and provide assistance to any manufacturing or assembly related topics from our US partners
  • You will support the onboarding of new suppliers for our metal assembly by having in-depth design knowledge of our products and will support our suppliers in tailoring their manufacturing processes
  • You will act as an interface between the R&D department based in Munich (Germany) and our local production team and partners in the USA. You will help the Mechanical Engineering team to transition our designs so that they are best manufacturable in the US (raw materials, dimensions, fabrication methods).[Help the designers to transition from German design made in Germany to a universal design made globally.]
  • You will optimize the design of our hardware portfolio with a focus on growth scalability and expansion into new markets
  • You will ensure quality control by managing standards of all manufactured goods through analysis of production performance onsite at the suppliers
  • You will demonstrate leadership as one of the first engineers in Denver, you will be instrumental in establishing and growing the Hardware Team over the next years; investing in the strong expansion and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

Your fitness level

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or other equivalent experience
  • You have several years of experience as a mechanical engineer, preferably with a focus on steel fabrication
  • You demonstrate in-depth knowledge of metal forming, laser cutting, punching, powder coating, and especially robot-assisted welding
  • Ideally, you have a pre-existing on-site experience in metal fabrication shops
  • You have strong analytical capabilities, leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities.
  • You have proven success in managing relocation projects from Europe to North America (not required, but a plus.) 
  • You are able to meet the travel requirements of this role: 30% of your time will be spent traveling (including domestic and international travel to suppliers in North America and spending time blending teams with counterparts at our headquarters in Munich, Germany)

Your training goal for your first 6 months

  • You have established a deep understanding of the functionality and the design of our Smart Strength product line
  • You have established an overview of our Engineering systems and processes landscape, and you have learned how to use our tools (CAD, PLM, ..) properly
  • You are well networked with your colleagues after your onsite onboarding phase in Munich, Germany
  • You have spent at least one week working with our team in our partner’s assembly facility in Rhode Island to understand how our fitness machines are built

The equipment we provide

  • You will earn an annual salary of $85,000 to $115,000
