Senior Paid Social Specialist
About the team
This role sits in the Performance Marketing team who themselves sit in the wider Product and Marketing Org here at Deliveroo. The team's main focus is driving growth through Paid Social, Display & Affiliates. This role will be mostly focussed on the Paid Social channel but there will likely be cross over with Affiliates and Display too. Growth could be so many things for this team, for example; getting a consumer to give us a try for the first time, driving customer loyalty, finding new riders for the business or encouraging users to sign up to Plus (our loyalty subscription).
As a channel, we are a vibrant function, collaborating closely with our Creative Studio, Data Science and Marketing Technology teams to deliver innovative world-class digital campaigns across 10 markets globally. As the Channel specialist you will report into the Head of Performance Marketing - Affiliates, Social, Display who you will work alongside to drive forward your channel.
Working within this team allows you to work under our hybrid working model - between London HQ and home
About the role
We're looking for a commercially minded, data-driven “Senior Digital Marketing Specialist”. The role will be focused on Growth Paid Social strategy & activation. Alongside the channel owner, you will be responsible for growing Growth Paid Social across our live markets and finding smart new ways to market to our consumers.
What you'll be doing
- Platform Management - Managing platform activation for all our relevant partners, Smartly, Meta, Tik Tok, Snapchat & Pinterest across all of our product lines (eg. consumer)
- Strategy Support - Help deliver our new paid social strategy
- Basic Reporting - Running performance reports to understand weekly trends and campaign successes
- Internal Stakeholder Management - Working with the channel lead to update internal stakeholders on projects that we are running for them. (eg. Local Market Teams & Product Teams)
- Commercial - Work with the channel lead to sell in the channel to internal budget holders.
- Review Campaigns - Run “Post Campaign Analysis” on each campaign to gain learnings
- DS Support - Work with data science teams to better understand the impact of campaigns
Requirements
- Expertise in advertising on Meta & Tiktok
- Proven track record in launching consumer-facing campaigns, preferably within a high-growth D2C brand
- Experience optimising campaigns for performance goals and recommending best in class practices.
- Degree-level education or relevant work experience
- Basic problem-solving, structuring arguments well and finding solutions
- Good stakeholder management, should be comfortable with regularly sharing updates and reports to key stakeholders
- Basic quantitative analytical skills, should be able to run basic reporting and set up tests/experiments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ambitious with a commercial mindset
- A willingness to learn and an eagerness to grow within an organisation
Preferred but not required:
- Experience with Smartly.io
- Experience creating highly effective paid social assets.
