About this team and role:
Responsible for leading the North America payroll operations, processing semi-monthly payroll for around 800 U.S. and Canadian employees while ensuring compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local regulations. This role will ensure accurate and timely payroll cycles, compliance with tax laws and company policies, and provide reporting and analysis to support business needs. The Senior Payroll Analyst will also play a key role in process improvements and cross-functional initiatives.
What you’ll do:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian employees (~800 employees), ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll on a semi-monthly basis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Own payroll issue resolution, effectively collaborating and communicating with internal and external partners.
- Partner with the People Operations, Benefits and external vendors to ensure accurate benefit deductions and payroll-related transactions.
- Act as a subject matter expert and resource for payroll best practices, laws, and system capabilities continually looking for opportunities to standardize and scale payroll processes and procedures.
- Assist with year-end activities, including W-2s, T4s, tax filings, and audits.
- Mentor and guide Payroll Administrator.
What you’ll bring:
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting Finance or related field
- AND 7+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably across U.S. and Canadian payrolls.
- OR equivalent combination of education
- Strong knowledge of federal and state/provincial payroll tax regulations.
- Experience with payroll systems. ADP Workforce Now experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong customer service focus with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and partner with key stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent designation is a plus.
