THE WORK:

Due to Ripple's growth, we seek a hard-working senior payroll analyst to coordinate and process the payroll for the Americas. The right individual will lead the development of scalable processes, oversee the payroll systems environment, and ensure timely and accurate payroll submission and reporting. Ripple's technology is new and cutting-edge, leading to complexities in our compensation and reporting.

This role is part of our finance team and reports to the Payroll Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a complex and dynamic environment. To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to be organized and deadline-driven, ensuring recurring assignments are handled on a timely basis while contributing to special cross-functional projects and addressing unique challenges. This position requires a highly motivated professional with a strong drive and skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Responsible for processing timely US, Canada, and Brazil payrolls in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and company policies. 
  • Audit payroll to ensure accuracy and data integrity with our HRIS.
  • Calculate and process complex and high-visibility transactions, including multi-state adjustments, bonus taxation, retroactive adjustments, year-end tax reconciliations, and equity compensation.
  • Research and analyze complex payroll issues, develop solutions, and communicate with employees and internal teams.
  • Provide a high level of customer service in responding to payroll inquiries.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement within payroll operations and implement solutions to automate and streamline processes, making them scalable and efficient while maintaining strong quality controls.
  • Set up new state jurisdictions.
  • Process the quarterly and year-end payroll activities.
  • Ensure timely filings with government agencies.
  • Assist GL accountant with payroll reconciliations.
  • Partner with cross-functional groups within the company, including tax, stock administration, and people operations teams, on equity, global mobility, and business activities to ensure payroll needs are identified, considered, and communicated.
  • Compile payroll data as requested for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of all wage and hour laws, including garnishments, benefits, leave of absence, 401K/pension, and tax reporting for the Americas region.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of work experience processing high-volume multi-state U.S. and Canada payrolls with equity compensation.
  • 3+ years of ADP Workforce Now and ADP SmartCompliance experience is a must.
  • Workday HRIS experience preferred.
  • Experience with global mobility (inpatriates/expatriates) and payrolls larger than 1,000 employees.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willing to "roll up sleeves" to accomplish all necessary tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effectively communicating across departments and all levels.
  • Able to identify issues and propose solutions to complex or non-standard situations.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to be independent and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capacity in a high-growth environment.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to build and sustain relationships at multiple levels within and outside finance.
For positions that will be based in CA, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions. CA Annual Base Salary Range$102,400—$128,000 USD
