The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio

This position can be office-based or fully remote from one of the following countries: Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, or the UK. 

As a (Senior) Payroll Specialist (d/f/m), you provide a best-in class service for all Personio customers. Your efforts drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement of our end-to-end customer journey and payroll processes, which directly translates into a high customer lifetime value and active Personio promoters. In case of technical and product issues, you collaborate with Product & Engineering teams to identify gaps in Personio and support to improve them. Your feedback to product teams directly contributes to further product automation and a great user experience. 

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Team Guidance & Mentorship: You guide a team of approximately 5 Payroll Specialists, ensuring exceptional customer service and fostering professional development through mentorship.
  • Implementation Management & Monthly Support: You oversee implementation processes and monthly payroll runs, ensuring efficiency and high standards of service delivery.
  • Customer Support & Assistance: You ensure timely assistance to customers during implementation and ongoing support phases, maintaining adherence to quality standards.
  • Payroll Expertise: You utilize extensive payroll expertise to address challenges and manage escalations effectively, serving as a go-to resource for the team.
  • Internal Collaboration for Improvement: You collaborate with internal teams to address technical challenges, identify process improvements, and enhance payroll services.
  • Customer Satisfaction & Experience: You drive customer satisfaction by ensuring exceptional customer experiences throughout implementation and ongoing support processes.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • You have at least 3-5 years of operational experience in end-to-end payroll processing
  • You are proficient in different payroll systems
  • You are business proficient in German and have a good command of English
  • You demonstrate leadership qualities to guide and mentor junior specialists
  • Your proven track record in handling complex payroll cases is a significant asset
  • You are a team player, empathetic and move mountains to ensure the satisfaction of your customers
  • You have the highest standards for quality and diligence in your work
