We’re looking to strengthen Constellation, our Design System team.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in advancing the design system. You will collaborate closely with Product Designers, UX Writers and Researchers, engineers, and brand teams to establish and maintain design standards, principles, and guidelines that ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across multiple platforms and products. Your work will enable designers to work better and faster to deliver the experiences they’ve always dreamt of and build our vision of being the Universal symbol of Trust by ensuring consistency, quality, and collaboration across all touchpoints.
As an integral part of the team, you’ll work with other stakeholders in Product, Engineering, Localization, and Brand to ensure our design system balances user needs with other business goals.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain design standards, principles, and guidelines
- Create and assist in building reusable components that enhance user experiences and align with our brand vision
- Provide coverage for both B2B and B2C teams, ensuring a consistent and high-quality design system that empowers the team to build delightful experiences
- Champion contribution and bridge collaboration between engineers and designers
- Maintain and update design documentation, library components, and guidelines
- Leverage Figma’s advanced features to create scalable design systems
- Stay updated with the design system market and the latest design developments, tools, and technologies to ensure our design system remains cutting edge
- Ensure adherence to accessibility guidelines and best practices
Who you are:
- 5+ years of professional experience in product design and at least 2 years of proven experience in a design system team, preferably in a technology, digital, or SaaS company
- Comprehensive portfolio showcasing UX and UI design skills, focusing on digital products and scalable design systems
- A proven ability in visual design, along with expertise in illustrations and motion design
- Proficiency in Figma and experience leveraging its advanced features for design systems
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and usability testing tools
- A Design tokens expert who understands how to create, name, and maintain them
- Significant problem-solving skills, creativity, and knowledge of the current design system market, trends, and emerging technologies
- Knowledgeable about front-end possibilities and constraints, with an understanding of responsiveness, accessibility guidelines, and usability best practices
- A deep understanding of native mobile patterns is an added advantage
